Participants will engage in the Science and Engineering Practices as they monitor their heart rate under different circumstances to think about frequency. They go on to create waves using metal springs and use these simple waves to explore the fundamental properties of waves: wavelength, frequency, and amplitude. Participants then will identify which Crosscutting Concepts were developed in the investigation.
