Using a Three-dimensional Approach to Investigate Orbital Motion of Objects in the Solar System

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Come explore the phenomenon of orbiting planets to deepen your understanding of forces and motion. We will use physical models and a computer simulation to investigate factors that affect the strength of gravity, including mass and distance between objects. We will also use computational thinking to analyze data about the scale properties of planets, identifying patterns that can be used as evidence to explain the phenomenon. Targets SEEd Standards 6.1.2 and 6.1.3.
