Participants will learn about getting community members more actively involved by experiencing a project filtering Utah Lake water. From beginning with the standard to finishing with presentations, attendees will see how a water cycle unit was supported by community members and experts in the field. Teachers will also take part in a hands-on learning activity by observing life and materials found in Utah Lake water, creating a filter to clean the water, and evaluating how the filter worked.
